October 31 – November 21, 2020
Opening Reception: Saturday, October 31
A variety of paintings, prints and jewelry will be on display along with a traditional altar dedicated to BLM, George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, RBG and family members of the participating artists, who have lost loved ones from COVID-19.
The Day of the Dead (Spanish: Día de Muertos) is a Mexican holiday celebrated in Mexico and elsewhere associated to the Catholic celebrations of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day. The multi-day holiday involves family and friends gathering to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. It is a day of celebration rather than mourning. In 2008, the tradition was inscribed in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

“We hope to bring positivity, connection and a love to our community regardless of this pandemic. I’m proud to host this show, and the artists’ participation and support has been incredible! Art heals, connects and educates, and I feel that especially during this time it is important to keep sharing this message to our communities. People need artistic expression more than ever right now.”
