This 3-session class will introduce 3 printmaking techniques-–monotype, silkscreen, and rubber cuts. Please bring a 4x6 image to work from.

We’ll explore each technique using your image.  5x7 paper size prints from this class can be used to enter our Small Print Show.

Monotype Monotype is the process of doing one-of-a-kind unique print with watercolor pencils/water-based markers. This is a painterly style of printmaking and can be very colorful and expressive.

Silk Screen We’ll be using a pre-emulsion screen which makes exposing with your image quicker and easier to screen print from. Take home and use on paper or fabric.

Rubber Cut- Linocut and Rubber cut plates can be carved directly with block cutting tools. These plates can be used again and again to make multiple images. We will use water-based inks to print. Simple and fun!
