On exhibit through September 30th in our studio gallery is a very special print portfolio celebrating the hundredth birthday of the late Chicago artist, poet, and champion of workers’ rights, Carlos Alfredo Cortéz. Many of the issues Cortéz dealt with continue to be relevant for us today: justice issues, equity for all, community displacement, anti-war positions, miners’ and farmworkers’ rights, migration and respect for indigenous peoples among others. Drop in and enjoy the work of 29 printmakers celebrating his lifetime of advocacy.
Closing reception: Saturday, September 30, 2-4pm
